Head Start is a federally funded program available at no cost to eligible families with children who will be 3 or 4 by December 1. In addition to the regular preschool curriculum, Head Start offers meals and snacks, health and dental services, family advocacy services and transportation. Regulations require that all selections be based on the child’s eligibility as determined by the Enrollment Selection Priority Grid. Head Start preschool programming is available in Holton, Montague, Reeths-Puffer (also serving North Muskegon), and Whitehall. Classes are offered Monday through Thursday with AM and PM sessions.
