The GED (General Equivalency Diploma) is the minimum educational credential accepted for entry into employment, vocational training and many colleges. An adult must complete and pass all 5 tests (writing, reading, social studies, science, and math) to secure a Michigan High School Equivalency Certificate issued by the State Department of Education.
Testing Schedule & Procedure
Schedule: Tests are given the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of the month at Duck Creek Learning Center, 4600 Gibson Rd, Muskegon, MI 49445. Students may take up to three tests per day at 9am, 11am, 1pm, and 3pm.
Pre-Registration: Students must pre-register by calling (231)766-3001 at least one day prior to test date.
Identification: You must show picture ID from a government agency before testing.
Demographic Form: A completed form must be submitted prior to taking the first test. Forms are available at the testing site should one be needed.
Test Fees: WLACE Adult Education enrollment, OR, payment of $40 per test must be collected at time of registration. No refunds or transfers will be allowed.
Attendance: If you will not be able to make a test time that you have registered for, please call to cancel. Students arriving more than 10 minutes after scheduled test will not be tested or refunded.
