What is Indian Education?
It is a federally funded program that makes available helpful services for school age students that are of Native American decent.
Who can and should sign up for this program?
All students that are descendants of Indian or Native American blood,but especially children of tribal members or those that have a parent or grand-parent with Native American Heritage.

In another school district?
Muskegon Public Schools serves the rest of Muskegon county schools. If you are in another district you will have to ask your local staff where their Indian Education program is located. Our website is www.indianeducation.org
How do I enroll my children in IndianEducation?
A parent or guardian of the child has to fill out a Federal 506Form. The information needed to enroll include the student's name, age, grade, district and tribal affiliation (the child does NOT have to be a tribal member).
How will this program benefit my child?
Academic tutoring is available for students in need of support to successfully complete the current grade they are in.
School supplies are available to students at the beginningof the year or as needed throughout the year.
