Knitting Basic
Knitting is beautiful and worthy! Keeping up with the trends is easy once you know the basic techniques.

In this class, students will learn an introduction to basic knitting terminology, how to hold needles, cast on, knit, purl, bind off and how to start and finish a project. You will learn how to start and complete your first venture.

Classes are designed for people who have NO knitting experience. Ambitious beginners are welcome!

Materials Needed:

1 skein of WORSTED yarn, #4; no dark colors and no novelty yarn
1 pair of knitting needles size 5mm or 5.5 mm
1 yarn/tapestry needle
1 small pair of scissors
Prices Varies by Age and Municipality

WDS Senior Participating Members (60+) and live within the following municipalities: Blue Lake Township, City of Montague, City of Whitehall, Fruitland Township, White River Township and Whitehall Township.
Class fee: $4.00

WDS Resident Members: (18+ to 59) and live within the Whitehall School District boundaries.
Class fee: $10.00

Non-Resident (18+) live outside the Whitehall School District boundaries.
Class fee: $16.00
